San Clemente, Calif. – USA Surfing is proud to announce the 2025–26 Junior National Team — a powerful lineup of the nation’s top young surfers who will train and compete under the red, white, and blue as they progress in American surfing, advancing to the biggest leagues of surfing: the InternationalSurfing Association (ISA), World Surf League (WSL) and the Olympic Games.

The Junior National Team includes surfers in the Under 18, Under 16, and Under 14 divisions, as well as a Development Team designed to support rising talent with access to elite coaching and video review, competition preparation, and performance resources.

These surfers earned their spots through performances in USA Surfing’s Prime Series and USA Surfing Championship at Lower Trestles – the site of the LA28 Olympic Games. See criteria posted here.

Head coach and competition director Ryan Simmons noted that this year’s team is slightly smaller than last year with a development team in each age division to provide tailored support and motivation to progress. Many on the development team suffered injuries and setbacks and can benefit from support in making a comeback.

“These athletes represent the future of American surfing,” said Simmons. “We’re incredibly proud to support them with a high-performance program that emphasizes excellence in and out of the water — including competition strategy, mindset training, strength and conditioning support, nutrition, and more.”

This year’s roster includes familiar names and fast-rising newcomers from both coasts with many athletes already making waves on the global stage.

USA Surfing’s Junior NationalTeam will participate in training camps, international competitions, and development programs focused on holistic athlete growth. The team is guided by USA Surfing’s elite coaching staff, who have helped support Olympic medalists, WSL stars, and ISA World Champions.
