USA Surfing Hires Media and Communications Spokesperson Leading up to the Sport’s 2020 Olympic Debut4/29/2018
USA Surfing – the US Olympic Committee’s National Governing Body for surfing – hired Becky Fleischauer-Jewell to lead media and communications leading up to the sport’s 2020 Olympic debut in Tokyo. Becky will serve as the principal point of contact for media and public relations. She is a seasoned communications professional who knows how to communicate clearly. Having led communications for high-impact organizations in multiple sectors - from media to politics to philanthropy, science, business, youth sports and more - she will help tell the team’s story to diverse audiences. “Becky is the right person to help us show the world what a spectacular sport surfing is and what the team is doing to support peak performance,” USA Surfing CEO Greg Cruse said. “There is an entirely new audience out there who will get to learn what those in the surfing community have known for decades – surfing is one of the most athletically demanding and beautiful sports in the world.” “It is a personal and professional privilege to be a part of USA Surfing,” Becky said. “USA Surfing has assembled an impressive group of professionals and a roster of sponsors that continues to grow.
