USA Surfing is stoked to announce Hurley as the title sponsor of the organization’s marquee Championship events at Lower Trestles and Oceanside. “Hurley is proud to support the next generation of top surf talent,” said Hurley head of sports marketing Brett Simpson. "As a former WSL tour athlete, USA Surfing junior and Olympic coach, I understand how valuable these events are to the athletes and the surfing community." “We applaud Hurley’s leadership in supporting the next generation of American surfers in an Olympic year — and in the year when there are more American rookie surfers on tour in history (almost all coming through USA Surfing ranks),” said USA Surfing head coach Ryan Simmons. “At a time when most surf brands are cutting support for youth development, Hurley is backing of the next generation of surf talent is truly refreshing and responsible.” USA Surfing Championship at Lower Trestles held June 17-22 brings together the best under 18 surfers, who qualified through top performances in competitions on the East and West Coasts and Hawaii, to battle it out for national titles and spots on the junior national team that Simpson coached along with the Olympic team. USA Surfing Championship at Oceanside, held June 11-15, convenes the best para surfers from around the world to compete in a preview of surfing’s expected Paralympic debut in LA 2028. The event also includes qualifying heats for International Surfing Association (ISA) World Championship competition in longboard, SUP surf, SUP race, and adult Masters divisions. This support across surf disciplines is aligned to the brand’s commitment to an inclusive, united approach. With Hurley’s support, this year, USA Surfing will host a series of Power Your Performance workshops for surfers with expert guidance to support surfers’ development in and out of the water.
