Chris Oberle was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, moved to North Lake Tahoe in 1991, then relocated to Southern California after a life altering mountain biking injury in 2007.
Chris began surfing adaptively that same year, then very shortly after began participating in WSA and local coalition surf contests throughout Southern and Central California.
He went on to become the inaugural US Champion for adaptive surfing in 2015 at Seaside Reef, then placed 3rd in La Jolla at the first ISA Worlds.
Chris currently splits his time between Kings Beach and Oceanside California, spending most of his time working and surfing the North Jetty with his wife Ling Pai, who surfs for Team Canada in the VI division.
